"How dull it is to pause, not to shine, to rust unburnished." These words(an excerpt from Ulysses by Alfred Lord Tennyson)I find to be central to my life.
I find my self constantly seeking that next thrill, whether it be from the rush of covering an event with a million things happening around me or maybe I just avoided driving my car off the road and I feel the rush of being alive suddenly enter back into my being.
I try to live my life, well, the life I have been blessed with, in a fatalistic manner. One needs to come to grips with random violence and the unexpectancy of this life. The more you cherish each moment, each hour, each day, the more you'll appreciate each week, each year, that you have been given.
JOY- This guy was so happy to be finishing the Vancouver Sun Run and it showed.
Grief- After a candlelight vigil for the six victims of the Alger shootings, a man sits and talks with God.
Gratefulness- A 92 year old WWII vet remembers his life and the sacrifice of others.
Find somebody and make them happy today.
