Although I  don't have a personal connection in my family to any veterans; I still love going out to cover it because I have deep appreciation for the men and women who've served this country. 

I started out early around nine am for the first service hitting up two more before ending around three pm.   Encompassed below are a few pictures that I believe represent the day well. Enjoy.  -Jefferson L. Morriss

True Blue + Rainy Day

Some things just come together.

I love rain.  There's a reason everything in the movies is always wet, it looks great.   I thought I'd take a look at the local skate park one rainy day.  I put on a 50mm 1.8 and sought to capture the texture and look of the skate park when rain has pushed all the urethane wheels away to dryer places.
